IBS and Red Soft successfully conducted “Red Database” DBMS tests on a converged platform “СКАЛА-Р”

IBS company and RED SOFT, russian supplier of software solutions, completed a sequences of tests of “Red Database” industrial DBMS on the first Russian converged computing platform “СКАЛА-Р”. Test results confirmed the full compatibility of products, furthermore, the database by RED SOFT demonstrated a high level of scalability and performance running on IBS hardware. This test is a another step in the development of IBS and "Red Soft” cooperation. A number of joint tests was planned by the companies to offer customers complete solutions based totally on Russian developments.

Red Database is an industrial certified open source database that supports all major operating systems and hardware platforms, including multi-processor and multi-core ones. The product is certified by FSTEC Russia and included into the Unified Register of Russian programs for computers and databases. In its turn, “СКАЛА-Р” from IBS is a fully configured module that includes hardware and software for the management, virtualization and data protection. The product consists of russian-made components and its cost is 40% less comparing to western counterparts. Thus, combination of these products facilitates creating unique completely domestic hardware and software system that is optimal for use in government agencies and companies, implementing a policy of import substitution.
